Fencing maul handle ATLAS 110 cm oval, head size 45 x 30 mm square

ATLAS fencing maul or garden hammer handle of ash wood, with head size 45 x 30 mm and length 110 cm. Suitable for a wooden fencing maul or garden hammer with a square hole. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head always aligns in the correct striking direction. No wedge is needed to mount this handle.

ATLAS fencing maul and hammer handles are made from ash butt logs, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink and the hammer head remains firmly attached to the handle.

Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural colour. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
