D-handle ATLAS 85 cm straight

ATLAS D-handle made of ash wood, straight handle with a length of 85 cm. This handle is suitable for a steel or aluminium ballast shovel. The comfortable D-grip and strong handle are manufactured from a single piece by a CNC-controlled machine. The grip of the D-grip is reinforced with a metal pin.

ATLAS D-handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled dried back in a climate chamber. Because of this drying back, the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.

The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. The waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.

ATLAS D-handles are manufactured entirely in the Netherlands in an energy-neutral process and are available in various lengths and versions.
