Digging fork handle ATLAS 60 cm straight, with T-grip
Digging fork handle or prong handle ATLAS of ash wood, straight model with a length of 60 cm, fitted with a T-grip. Suitable for digging forks with forged-on springs. For mounting two 50 mm rivets are recommended (article number 651620, including mounting advice).
ATLAS fork handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best timber. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle.
Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with vegetable Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural colour. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, vegetable waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS fork handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
