The Silky Katanaboy 500-5 is a large folding saw with a straight 50 cm saw blade, suitable for trunks and thick branches up to approximately 25 cm. The long blade makes deep, powerful sawing strokes possible and provides a manual alternative to a chainsaw when noise, fuel, and exhaust fumes are undesirable. The rubber handle provides a firm two-handed grip. For transport and storage, the saw comes with a nylon shoulder bag.

The high-quality Japanese steel saw blade has extra coarse toothing with 5 tines per 30 mm. The large tines remove a lot of wood with each pull stroke and quickly clear away coarse sawdust. As a result, the Katanaboy cuts through thick trunks with few movements. The extra coarse toothing is intended especially for large-scale sawing jobs. The unset tines limit resistance in the kerf and can be sharpened again with a special Silky file. The blade is provided with a nickel coating, which offers protection against wear and rust formation.

Keep the saw blade clean to maintain good sawing performance. Stuck-on resin can be removed with resin remover or olive oil. Dry the blade after use before folding the saw and store the saw in a dry place.
