The Silky Hayauchi 2400-6.5 is a four-section polesaw with an extendable length of 172 to 300 cm. The oval aluminium pole provides extra rigidity and makes it easier to determine the position of the saw blade at great height. Push buttons and clamping levers work together to securely lock the set length. The bent 39 cm saw blade can be set at two angles for both high and low pruning work.

The blade has an extra coarse 4-Retsume tooth pattern of 6.5 tines per 30 mm. The tines are arranged in four rows and allow for significant wood removal, even when sawing at different angles relative to the grain. This tooth pattern is intended for fast sawing in thick, fresh, and moisture-rich wood. In dry wood, the coarse tines grip less easily and more vibration can occur. A Hayauchi saw makes a cut 2.3 mm wide.

The saw blade is made of high-quality Japanese steel and features a nickel coating to protect against wear and rust. The lower and upper sickle help, respectively, to score the bark first and keep the blade in the cut. The tines can be sharpened with a Silky file if needed.

After use, clean and dry the blade and pole sections. Remove resin with a resin remover or olive oil. Check the mounting screws regularly so you can continue working safely.
