(SILKY article number KSI017639N) Transport/collapsed length: 1720 mm (incl. blade) This telescopic pole saw from Silky is razor-sharp, strong, easy to use and lightweight. The 390 mm long bent blade of the Hayauchi features Silky's unique 4-RETSUME tooth pattern. These laser-cut tines, with a kerf of 2.3 mm, provide large wood removal so you can easily and extremely quickly saw through the thickest branches without the saw getting stuck. The saw blade has a nickel coating, is flexible and only the razor-sharp tines are impulse-hardened. Two blades (sickles) on the blade together ensure an optimal pruning result. With the lower blade you cut the bark so it does not tear off along the trunk when the branch falls. The upper blade prevents the saw from jumping out of the cut. And with this upper blade you can easily cut twigs off the trunk or pull small (dead) branches out of the tree. Because of the oval shape of the aluminium pole, the saw blade is in the correct cutting direction and provides precise control when pruning at height. The oval shape of the handle also provides strength and stiffness along the entire length and keeps bending to a minimum. The locking mechanisms (push buttons and clamps) together provide the safest and most stable locking of the desired pole length. The clamps of the handle and the locking knob of the saw blade with socket are both mounted in line with each other on the top side of the telescopic handle. The bottom pole section is wrapped with rubber for a comfortable and secure grip. The bumper at the end protects against knocks or falls. It is best to clean the saw blade with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil and this is an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and maintain cutting performance. Tip: when you are not using the saw, dry it thoroughly before sliding the pole sections together. Slide the supplied cover over the cleaned saw blade and store the pole saw in a dry place.
