Upper blade FELCO 6/3 F-Tech, antifriction coating, for FELCO 6 and 12

Upper blade FELCO 6/3 F-Tech, suitable for FELCO pruning shears no. 6 and 12. FELCO F-Tech blades feature an anti-friction coating. The coating reduces friction between the blades themselves and the branch being pruned. In addition, the F-Tech coating protects the blade against corrosion, scratches, and cracks.

The FELCO F-Tech coating reduces friction force by more than 30% in the first cuts*. Thanks to the significantly lower friction, pruning is much smoother, even with harder wood or thicker branches. This makes pruning require less effort and contributes to better ergonomics.

The FELCO F-Tech coating protects the blade against the buildup of plant sap, bacteria, and other contaminants. This contributes to a better pruning result and a cleaner cut. The coating also extends the service life of the upper blade.

FELCO F-Tech is a water-based coating made from nanocomposites.


*The reduction in friction was tested on hardwood with a diameter of 12 mm. Depending on use, the reduced friction force decreases after 500 to 1000 cuts to approx. 13%. The F-Tech coating then still delivers a clearly noticeable difference in reduced friction force compared with a standard upper blade.
