FELCO F-Tech blades are equipped with a nanocomposite anti-friction coating. The FELCO F-Tech coating reduces friction, protects the blade against corrosion, and reduces the buildup of plant sap and contamination.
The FELCO F-Tech coating reduces friction by more than 30% during the first cuts*. Because of the significantly lower friction, pruning is much smoother, even with harder wood or thicker branches. This makes pruning less strenuous, and the F-Tech coating contributes to better ergonomics. The blade is protected by the FELCO F-Tech coating against the buildup of plant sap, bacteria, and other contamination. This contributes to better pruning results and a clean cut. The coating also extends the service life of the upper blade.

*The friction reduction was tested on hardwood with a diameter of 12 mm. Depending on use, the reduced friction decreases after 500 to 1000 cuts to approx. 13%. Even then, the F-Tech coating still provides a clearly noticeable difference in reduced friction compared to a standard upper blade.
