A FELCO F-Gold blade reduces friction and makes pruning smoother.

Upper blade FELCO 7/3 F-Gold, compatible with FELCO pruning shears no. 7 and 8. FELCO F-Gold blades feature a gold and cobalt coating (AuCo). The coating protects the blade against corrosion, scratches and cracking. It also reduces the friction between the blades themselves and the branch being pruned.

The FELCO F-Gold coating reduces frictional force by more than 30%. Because of the significantly lower friction, pruning goes much more smoothly, even with harder wood or slightly thicker branches. This makes pruning require less effort and the F-Gold coating contributes to improved ergonomics.

The F-Gold coating also protects the blade from adhesion of plant sap, resin and bacteria. This contributes to a better pruning result, a clean cut and reduced transfer of plant and tree diseases. The F-Gold coating also extends the lifespan of the upper blade.
