The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear on the underside and sides. In addition, the grain shovel is equipped with a sturdy aluminium wear strip, which reduces wear on the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS bat handles are made from the lower trunks of ash trees, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, so the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS bat handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain or fiber in the handle to bend along with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a running-out grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color.
