Spade handle ATLAS 95 cm, with T-grip, for Ideal spade

https://www.kooijmans.com/web/image/product.template/20664/image_1920?unique=b8e4e27

Ideal spade handle ATLAS of ash wood, length 95 cm, fitted with a smooth, narrow point and a T-grip. This handle is, among others, suitable for Ideal spades with double springs. For assembly a 50 mm rivet is recommended (article number 651620, including assembly advice).

ATLAS Ideal spade handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink and the tool remains firmly attached to the handle.

Finally, the ATLAS handles are waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.

ATLAS spade handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
