Grain shovel OFFNER aluminium with wear strip and ATLAS plastic D-handle 95 cm bent
Grain shovel OFFNER aluminium, with wear strip and bent ATLAS plastic D-handle, length 95 cm.
The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear on the underside and sides. In addition, the grain shovel is equipped with a sturdy aluminium wear strip, which reduces wear at the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight, and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS PD-handles are made from ash rootstocks; they contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. Due to the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS PD handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain or fibre in the handle to bend with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a running-out grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
As a final step, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural colour.
