Concrete shovel ATLAS DIAMANT 1/2 0 blue rounded, with ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle 110 cm double bent
Thanks to the double-bent handle, the concrete shovel lies flat on the ground
Concrete shovel ATLAS DIAMANT with socket position 1/2 bent up, blade size 0 and straight edge with rounded corners. Complete with a double-bent ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle 100 cm in length, provided with a through-mount T-grip. The blue lacquered blade is extra hardened and has a polished edge.
Thanks to the straight front edge, the ATLAS DIAMANT concrete shovel is used for levelling or flat scooping of a sand bed or trench. Because of the rounded corners, this concrete shovel easily scoops out of a wheelbarrow, trailer or big bag. Because of the double-bent handle, the blade lies nicely flat on the ground.
The ASH ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle is made from ash rootstocks; these contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been re-dried in a computer-controlled climate chamber. As a result, the handle does not shrink, the tool stays firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Additionally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba wax, which provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant, smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters.
Explanation of socket mode
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more inclined the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for thrusting or for scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight relative to the blade.
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example on scoop shovels and deep shovels
Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller due to working conditions, and smaller blade widths were introduced.
The blade sizes for shovels and spades, from largest to smallest, are: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
