Scoop shovel ATLAS DIAMANT Dutch model with socket position 3/4 bent upwards and blade size 2, supplied without handle. The hardened blade is blue lacquered and has a bright polished, sharp cutting edge. This separate shovel head can be combined with various ATLAS Blijham handles, shovel handles, bats handles, bent or double-bent handles.
Explanation of the socket setting
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more inclined the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade.
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is 70cm bent up, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels
Explanation of blade width
Formerly there were blade widths that ranged from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller due to working conditions and smaller sizes were introduced.
The blade sizes for shovels and spades are from large to small: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
