Metal D-handle ATLAS 95 cm for tree root spade - Polygator

yd-steel ATLAS made of ash wood, straight handle with metal D-handle, length 95 cm. The comfortable yd-steel of this handle consists of a sturdy metal bracket fitted with an ash wood handgrip. This handle is suitable for the tree root spade or Polygator.

ATLAS YD handles are made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a computer-controlled climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.

The ATLAS handles are then waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
