SILKY item number KSI327039 Blade length: 390 mm (to ± 195 mm) Toothing: coarse (7.5 tines per 30 mm) The bent blade of the Zübat pruning saw is nickel coated and equipped with Silky's unique Mirai-Me tooth pattern. These laser-cut tines, with a kerf of 1.4 mm, cut fresh wood quickly and easily. For sawing between the knee and up to shoulder height a straight saw blade (Type Gomtaro) is recommended; for sawing below the knee and above shoulder height a bent saw blade (Type Zübat) is recommended. The rubber handle sits comfortably and securely in the hand and absorbs vibrations. The Zübat pruning saw is available in several lengths. All saws in the Zübat series are supplied with a lightweight polypropylene holster with a removable belt clip. The holster is designed so the saw cannot fall out, yet you can pull the saw out in a single motion. The two rollers in the holster prevent the sharp tines from damaging the cover, and the bottom has a large opening to remove moisture and sawdust. The saw blade is best cleaned with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil, making this an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and preserve cutting performance. Slide the supplied cover over the cleaned blade and store the saw in a dry place. Tip: Keep a spare blade (item no. 1542890) nearby so you can continue sawing without interruption. The name Zübat comes from the sound a samurai sword makes when it strikes its target. Silky has been produced in Japan since 1919 from high-quality SK-4 carbon steel.
