The Hayate has a heavier construction than the Hayauchi, making this telescopic pole saw even more robust. This telescopic pole saw from Silky is razor-sharp, strong, easy to use and lightweight. The 420 mm long bent blade of the Hayate features Silky's unique Mirai-Me tooth pattern. These laser-cut tines, with a kerf of 1.7 mm, provide substantial wood removal so you can easily and very quickly saw through the thickest branches without the saw getting stuck. The blade is chrome-plated, flexible and only the razor-sharp tines are impulse-hardened. Two blades (sickles) together provide an optimal pruning result. With the lower blade you score the bark so it does not tear away from the trunk when the branch falls. The upper blade prevents the saw from being pulled out of the cut. And with this upper blade you can easily cut twigs from the trunk or pull small (dead) branches out of the tree. Because of the oval shape of the aluminium pole the blade stays in the correct cutting orientation and gives precise control when pruning at height. The oval shape of the handle also provides strength and stiffness along the entire length and minimizes bending. The locking mechanisms (push buttons and clamps) together provide the safest and most stable locking of the desired pole length. The clamps of the handle and the locking knob of the saw blade with socket are both mounted in line with each other on the top side of the telescopic handle. The bottom pole section is wrapped in rubber for a comfortable and secure grip. The bumper at the end protects against knocks or drops. You are best to clean the blade with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil and this is therefore an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and preserve the saw's cutting performance. Tip: when you are not using the saw, dry it thoroughly before sliding the pole sections together. Slide the supplied cover over the cleaned blade and store the pole saw in a dry place.
