The fencing maul head is equipped with steel bands on both sides. This makes this fencing maul very strong. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction.
ATLAS fencing maul handles are made from ash wood lower trunk sections; these contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the head stays securely attached to the handle. Afterwards the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural light color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters.
