Concrete shovel ATLAS DIAMANT with socket position 1/2 bent, blade size 0 and straight edge with rounded corners. Complete with a strongly bent ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle, 100 cm long, equipped with a through-mount T-grip. The blue lacquered blade is extra hardened and has a polished cutting edge.
Thanks to the straight front edge, the ATLAS DIAMANT concrete shovel is used for leveling or flat scooping of a sand bed or trench. Because of its rounded corners, this concrete shovel easily scoops from a wheelbarrow, trailer or big bag.
The ash wood ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle is made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been re-dried in a computer-controlled climate chamber. This prevents the handle from shrinking, keeps tools firmly attached to the handle and allows the through-mount T-grip to be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.
In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, thereby preventing blisters.
Explanation of socket mode
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more inclined the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for thrusting or for scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground up to the socket, with the blade lying flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight in line with the blade.
1/4: the socket is bent up by 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example on scoop shovels and deep shovels
Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to be reduced in size because of working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
