ABC Flachrandschaufel gehärtet POLIERT ROSTFREI-STAHL, ¼ OOO
Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT, Drents model made of stainless steel (INOX) with socket position 1/4 bent and blade size 000, is supplied without a handle. The stainless steel blade has a sharp cutting edge. This separate digging shovel head is compatible with various ATLAS Blijham handles, shovel handles, bats handles, and bent or double-bent handles.
Stainless steel shovels and spades are corrosion-resistant and have a smooth finish, but are more prone to breakage than boron steel. Therefore, no warranty is given on blade breakages for stainless steel spades and shovels.
Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more the socket is inclined. This determines whether a shovel or bats is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight up from the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep spades
Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller because of working conditions and smaller size designations were introduced.
The blade sizes for shovels and spades from largest to smallest are: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
