Upper blade FELCO 7/3 F-Tech, anti-friction coating, for FELCO 7 and 8

Upper blade FELCO 7/3 F-Tech, compatible with FELCO pruning shears no. 7 and 8. FELCO F-Tech blades are equipped with an anti-friction coating. The coating reduces friction between the blades themselves and the branch being pruned. In addition, the F-Tech coating protects the blade against corrosion, scratches and cracks.

The FELCO F-Tech coating reduces the frictional force by more than 30% on the first cuts*. Thanks to the significantly lower friction, pruning is much smoother, even on harder wood or thicker branches. This makes pruning less effortful and the F-Tech coating contributes to better ergonomics.

The blade is protected by the FELCO F-Tech coating against adhesion of plant sap, bacteria and other contaminants. This contributes to a better pruning result and a clean cut. The coating also extends the lifespan of the upper blade.

FELCO F-Tech is a water-based coating composed of nanocomposites.


*The friction reduction was tested on hardwood with a diameter of 12 mm. Depending on use, the reduced friction force decreases after 500 to 1000 cuts to approximately 13%. The F-Tech coating still provides a clearly noticeable difference in reduced friction force compared to a standard upper blade.
